Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I do really like gardening, but I don't always have the schedule or energy to keep up with it.

...hahah, now this gardening talk is making me think of Corporette. Where gardening is a euphemism for an activity involving the "lady garden".

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I never have the money or the energy to do what is needed at my house. I have 4 years to get everything fixed so I can sell it.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I never have the money or the energy to do what is needed at my house.

It's the same here at House o' Reason.

Don't get me wrong -- I love *having* a yard. I love going out and picking the flowers and the fruit, and I would love to have herbs. But I admit that I need someone else to do the work.

(It's not helped by the fact that I am even more sensitive to heat and sunlight these days, thanks to some of my meds. Eventually I'll get the cool parts of vampirism, not just the problems with sun and garlic.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

As an Angeleno who owns her own home, I get how lucky that makes me. Like most folks I know who grew up here, I couldn't afford to buy if I didn't inherit. I think that's a crazy way to do real estate.

Oh, it costs money, even (maybe more) the DIY. And really, maintaining me, my cats, my house, my job are my only responsibilities. Truly, take care in the order cats, house, me, job, car. Unless something's leaking fluids.

Punishingly Intricate

Also, like Liese, I really enjoy "my" birds at the feeder and in the water fountain, and "my" bees, and how much the dogs and the cat all enjoy the landscape.

Visitors also enjoy the landscape! I'd love to have a garden like yours someday (East Coast version, anyway).

Our wings are not tired.

I just tried to like and favorite a bunch of your posts - but at least I didn't try inserting an emoji!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I like owning my house, a lot, but lately I feel like I am not taking care of it well enough. Most of the work I do is in the garden, but I need to do more.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I love owning my own home, and find it emotionally necessary; I don't feel entirely stable or safe if my home doesn't belong to me. I love having the yard that's mine and watching the wildlife visitors come through, and I do enjoy taking care of the yard, but I often just don't know what to do or how, and also I hate the heat, so... yeah.
