Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Lucy got regular choruses of Howlin' Wolf. I AM (you are) A BACK DOOR DOG...when she'd try to get let out the front.

And both get/got "I can't give you anything but love, baybee" (doggie). In response to begging, of course.

hip deep in pie

I love TJMaxx! Good one.

I got a Kate Spade sleeve for my MacBook at Winners, the Canadian version of TJMaxx, for $15. Whenever I see how much her Apple cases cost elsewhere, I feel so smug.

My iPhone cover is Roots, and my only regret is that it's black, the same colour as my bag, and so it disappears in there when I am looking for it.

meara, base has gone up dramatically since 2008, I think, when one of the CBA ran out. Prior to that base was as low as $200,000 but if you got cut in preseason, which many do, then you get like $37,000. I'm sure the new CBA is different.

My friend who played minor pro hockey was making less than I did on a weekly basis back in 2000, though with perks from the booster club and area businesses I think he had a bit more disposable income.

Minimum salary for an NHL player who finishes the season with the team is currently $575,000.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think gmail fails sometimes and lets different people sign up for addresses that the delivery system doesn't differentiate. I signed up for firstname.lastname but I am constantly unsubscribing FirstnameLastname from lists. I get a lot of her family correspondence too.

It's a Google alias thing. username.[xyz]=username[xyz]=username[xyz]+[anything here]. It's convenient when you need different identities pointing into the same inbox, but shenanigans when a different person tries to use it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It's not a fail on gmail's part -- it has simply never bothered with dots in addresses, so FirstLast could never have signed up for that address in the first place. It's her problem if she keeps giving out that address...

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's her problem if she keeps giving out that address...

I just want to know why people think that address is theirs, if gmail won't let them sign up for j.smith@ if jsmith@ is already taken.

Yeah, it's just people stupid.
