I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

Punishingly Intricate

White beans can mean either navy or cannellini beans to me.

I think of navy beans as being slightly smaller than cannellini, but as both of them as being "white" beans. Also white kidney beans I think are cannellini.

eta Bittman agrees with me about navy and cannellini being different beans, fwiw.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh, I need that noodle kugel.

I apologize to everyone for the extra cardio this conversation will necessitate. I'm trying to fix my elliptical to use my iPad to go online because the SO is traveling with our normal router, but I am having woes. I'm pretty sure this means I don't actually have to work out. I'm sure, like, the pedals won't go around if it's not connected to wifi.

I approve of Cloudburst!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nice.

And today if I open up Cloudburst in one tab and Peacock Plume in another and switch between them I CAN see a difference, and I prefer Cloudburst.

Sounds right.

Or maybe your wifi signal needs you to generate electricity by pedaling?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

No, no, I'm pretty sure the answer is whatever one that means I need to take a bath instead of work out.

I bow to your superior logic.

Are you sure the bath will work without wifi?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I read the NY Magazine article about the women Bill Cosby attacked, and now I feel ill.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

First bid! Whoo! Now I need a bidding war to start, and to finish taking photos for the goth boots I'm selling.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

You guys, I think the body camera footage from the police officer who killed a black motorist last week here in Cincy is going to be really bad for the officer. The county prosecutor refuses to release the footage until the grand jury has ruled, saying he doesn't want the grand jury to be influenced. But the officer's statement and the radio calls have been released. How are they not also an influence on the grand jury?

Even the family members haven't been allowed to see the video footage yet, which is unconscionable. There's a strong suspicion, backed up by hints today from the police chief, that the video footage shows that the officer had no reason to use his gun. This could get really ugly.
