Is the lamb cake gluten free or are you making cake you can't even eat??
It's definitely gluten-free. I'm not selfless enough to make a dessert I can't eat.

Hi, all! Gud, I hope your day is working out better than expected.
I got many of my front porch planters filled, which is one of my favorite spring things. I left a few empty, waiting on stuff that won't be out for a few more weeks. But I have cosmos, petunias, snapdragons, rosemary, and callibrochia, as well as the things that over wintered (chives, lavender, and thyme).
The lamb cake sounds fun. I'm glad the range of gluten-free things seems to be expanding.
I cleaned out my closets and the mantle in prep for the plumbing demolition. There was less crap in the upstairs one than I thought, but so much random junk in the coat closet. And I bought and put together a new rolling garment rack for all the dresses and seasonal stuff I keep in the big closet, as the old kept collapsing.
I still can't believe this is happening Monday.
There are dark chocolate Reese's Cups miniatures in the store. There are two bags in my house. Temptation is rife in the world.
Also! I found Sting! Hubby and I noticed it wasn't hanging on the wall where it normally was and wondered if we'd loaned it to someone. I found it at the bottom of a pile of stuff on the couch--yes, I know, slatterns of the world, unite. But I'm glad it didn't go far, and it's now hanging back on the wall where it should be.
It is a wonderful sword for chopping into snowmen.
Well crappie, tomorrow is K-Bug's birthday and I'm a bad mom who hasn't gotten her a birthday present. I have a card and a booklet of Lisa Frank stickers but that is it. Inspiration had not hit and with the week I've had it almost kinda forgot. Sorta.
Ideas?
Thanks all. I'm hanging in there. Too busy to hang out online though.
I was just thinking of you, Gud!
Glad to hear you're busy, Gud.
Me, I started this bread: [link]
And made some spicy chicken sausage-chickpea soup for freezing. Came out pretty tasty!
And now I'm reading the book I bought for my youngest niece, Castle Hangnail by Ursula Vernon, who is awesome.
Lamb cake is frosted, awaiting coconut (that's Tim's job). Tomorrow I make the chocolate-covered strawberries. Everything else we're taking to Easter doesn't require prep (wine, cheese, crackers, rolls, and impulse-purchase gouda potato chips).
Now we try to be crafty and hide each other's Easter candy. (Last year he literally hid mine around the house and made me find it.)
