Lamb cake is frosted, awaiting coconut (that's Tim's job). Tomorrow I make the chocolate-covered strawberries. Everything else we're taking to Easter doesn't require prep (wine, cheese, crackers, rolls, and impulse-purchase gouda potato chips).
Now we try to be crafty and hide each other's Easter candy. (Last year he literally hid mine around the house and made me find it.)
Suzi, wine and dinner out?
Gift cards to movies?
Might have to be some kind of iou. I tried going through her Pinterest for ideas, no Amazon wish list, and my brain just isn't being creative. Normally I have this stuff planned way ahead but nothing. Nothing.
For now, I'm just going to be annoying in 12 minutes to wish her Happy Birthday at midnight.
I'm with msbelle -- out to fancy dinner is the typical adult birthday present in my family.
We are going out to a fancy brunch today. This is the second time her birthday had fallen on Easter.
Timelies all!
Groceries today, plus both of Gary's parents will be coming over to see the little guy. (not at the same time. His mom will be over to watch tlg while we get lunch and groceries, while his dad and stepmom will be over later to visit and take us out to dinner.)
I just bought an expensive photo printer, and I'm kind of freaking out.
Happy Easter everybody!
I am up to my eyeballs in work, so low key Easter this year meant just a basket for the kids and foraging for dinner. Isaac wanted an egg hunt, luckily for him his father offered to do it as I said Nope.
Went out last night on a Real Date to see Liz Phair and Smashing Pumpkins at the Ace Hotel. So frigging good! We should do that more
Don't freak out Tom, that's awesome!
Seriously, Tom, your photography is so good, that's a helpful thing to buy!
