Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

I just Googled a question that has been nagging me for ages--how the heck do those little slidey things on the refrigerator drawer do anything to affect the humidity? To my surprise, the concept is not to keep humid air out, it's to control the humidity/vapors being generated inside. I have learned something, and it makes sense.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The Mondayness of today was not helped by having to get up a half-hour early this morning. (Gary has an in-town meeting, and was required to be there at 7:30. Which meant getting up at 5:30 to leave the house by 6:30. Meanwhile, I had to take the little guy to daycare, so I was out of the house around 6:45. There are two more days of this.)

The weather is beautiful here - melting much of the snow we got Friday.

Relatedly, I started packing for this week's Salt Lake City trip and after picking outfits, I decided to check weather.gov. Snow. SNOW! Now to repack.

Yeah, snow/rain for the next couple of days, sorry.

I called a plumber and am meeting them at the house tomorrow to scope out and get an estimate on what will likely be a repipe.

Depending on what it comes to, I may get another but these guys come highly recommended for this neighborhood.

I think that is adulting.

And then I will probably get the estimate and start sucking my thumb and rocking.

I'm dizzy again and kind of nauseated, and I assumed it was just because the sinus infection isn't totally gone. Tim suggested I take my blood pressure. It's 90-something over 70, which isn't technically low (I don't think), and certainly not dangerously low, but shit, for a Lang, that's low. My normal is around 130/86.

Other than caffeine, I'm not sure how to correct hypotension, and I don't really want to drink coffee this late, because then I won't be able to sleep. The internet says to elevate my feet and drink fluids.

I was thinking crystal meth would work. Alas, I am not a junkie.

Still, you guys, this is WEIRD.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Whoa, sarameg, yeah that's some adult adulting.

Gatorade type stuff, Steph? Maybe get your heart rate up somehow?

I'm elevating my feet and drinking fluids, and I'll re-check my BP in a little bit.

The internet says that some antidepressants can raise your BP; I cut my Lexapro dose in half starting last week. I wonder if that made my BP drop. It's fascinating when I'm my own lab rat.

Are you on any other drugs that might affect blood pressure?

I do take actual blood pressure meds (benazepril), but the dose hasn't been changed in quite a long time. I'm guessing this might be from cutting the Lexapro dose.
