I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Whoa, sarameg, yeah that's some adult adulting.

Gatorade type stuff, Steph? Maybe get your heart rate up somehow?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm elevating my feet and drinking fluids, and I'll re-check my BP in a little bit.

The internet says that some antidepressants can raise your BP; I cut my Lexapro dose in half starting last week. I wonder if that made my BP drop. It's fascinating when I'm my own lab rat.

Are you on any other drugs that might affect blood pressure?

I do take actual blood pressure meds (benazepril), but the dose hasn't been changed in quite a long time. I'm guessing this might be from cutting the Lexapro dose.

I gotta say, this plumber's customer service was excellent. Aaand they made a point to get my email "because we're a paperless office." So I can email you if I have further random questions? "Of course!" I gather it is the wife half of the owners that I talked to.

Back up to 110/68 (which is still low for me, but better).

Let's hear it for crystal meth! (Okay, putting my feet up and drinking water.)

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

My coworkers are younger than I am, and I'm pretty sure they don't know how old I am and therefore assume I'm around their age. I'll say something like, "I don't think Burning Man is for me." And they're all, "How do you know? You should go. Maybe you'd learn something about yourself!"

Coworker, I am not fresh out of college. I've had multiple careers. I go on adventures. When I make a statement about my preferences, it's not because I'm fearful of going outside my comfort zone. It's just that I have plenty of life experience informing me that I would not learn anything about myself that I don't already know at Burning Man.

For the umpteenth time: read the recipe all the way through. The frosting for tomorrow's retirement cake requires, as a final step, to be refridgerated for an hour, and beaten every fifteen minutes. WTF.

Can't decide if I have to frost right away at the end of the hour, or if I can put it back in the fridge and do it in the morning. To be safest, I should probably frost right away.

But seriously, who makes a frosting that you have to chill and beat and chill and beat (repeat and repeat)? The ladies at the Silver Palate, that's who.

Coworker better appreciate this.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

-t and Amy, thanks. I think that second link of Amy's is probably the most succinct explanation I have seen. Now, getting people to read and understand and then use it correctly may be a different kettle of fish, but I'll do what I can.
