BRB DYING
I am currently waiting for my prescription. Cannot think about plans beyond that at the moment. Probably a lot of sleeping
I mentioned in F2F that I’d be up for dinner tomorrow and/or lunch on Sunday if anyone wants to join megan walker and me. I’ll be staying at her place. No worries if too tired/busy/distracted/over-peopled, but I’m always happy to see you all. Text me and we’ll figure out details if interested.
When our authors get a typeset galley, it's not a PDF generated from the program; it's a PDF made from a scan of the galley that has been marked up so the author can see any last questions.
We send out high-rez PDFs though not print-quality. What makes our authors lose their sh!t is when they send us vector graphics and they don't get vector graphics back, even though we clearly state that we don't use vector graphics so please don't send them.
Sorry, I mean to post that like an hour ago but I got a phone call. Interesting stuff happening today. Family intrigue. I'll either get money or a torrid novel out of it.
You want Rogan Jhosh. I know it.
Oooh, Swad would have been good. But tamales and rice & beans are an acceptable dinner.
There is an awful smell in the house, and I can’t figure out where it’s coming from. Find the Stink is the worst game.
At current count, there are seven people in my widely extended family who don't suck, and three of them are dead. I swear.
I really do.
Fuck.
I had a colleague who once called us because she couldn't figure out how to type the Roman numeral "II". My coworker could not make her understand that Roman numerals were represented by letters. She ended up yelling at her over the phone, "Press the shift key and hold it. Now press the I key. Press it again. There!" Meanwhile, I was dying in my cubicle.

Sadly, there is no money in my family, so I can only hope for the torrid novel.
The problem with Find the Stink as a game is there's that part of your brain that does not want to find the stink.
I still occasionally see things in which the typist is still using l (the letter) for 1 (the numeral). Royal Standards, which I learned to type on and wrote reams of copy on, lacked the numeral 1. I adapted.
