At current count, there are seven people in my widely extended family who don't suck, and three of them are dead. I swear.
I really do.
Fuck.

I had a colleague who once called us because she couldn't figure out how to type the Roman numeral "II". My coworker could not make her understand that Roman numerals were represented by letters. She ended up yelling at her over the phone, "Press the shift key and hold it. Now press the I key. Press it again. There!" Meanwhile, I was dying in my cubicle.
Interesting stuff happening today. Family intrigue. I'll either get money or a torrid novel out of it.
Sadly, there is no money in my family, so I can only hope for the torrid novel.
The problem with Find the Stink as a game is there's that part of your brain that does not want to find the stink.
I still occasionally see things in which the typist is still using l (the letter) for 1 (the numeral). Royal Standards, which I learned to type on and wrote reams of copy on, lacked the numeral 1. I adapted.
Ugh Zen, sorry to hear it.
We almost never play Dinner Chicken because I'm the default dinner planner, so it only happens on the days when I have completely taxed my executive functioning beyond all reasonable limits. Like dinner today? Already planned, but I haven't started cooking yet.
Find the Stink, on the other hand, is one of those games we play all too often. I thought it would end after we lost the elderly cat lady, since the winner is usually the first person to locate where the cat peed, but it seems like our new cat has mistakenly assumed that this is a thing we do in our house. Either that or one of the outside cats is peeing near the sliding glass door in the back. Which is actually quite possible, now that I think on it.

Ooh, I had a typewriter like that! I think I was taught to use lowercase l. As you say, I gave it up when I had technology that supported 1s
Zen, I am intrigued by the family intrigue, but sorry so many living relatives suck.
Home with a sore jaw, antibiotics, Motrin, and ice cream. Was told that that was the worst possible cusp to break (in terms of accessibility for the surgery) Xtreeeme. [insert guitar riff here] Supposed to sleep with my head elevated, which I think will have to mean in a chair as I tend to fling pillows away in my sleep.
Pix, I would love to see you and Tom and anyone but I will have to see how I feel. Sunday more likely than Saturday for me (sorry if I am crossing threads)
Weekend plans?
Tomorrow I am taking N to his soccer tournament in Camarillo (K is taking G and Penny to obedience class). Then we may go to the Special Olympics opening ceremony. Sunday, we have to go with N to the last game of his tournament.
Monday we are going to SF for a baseball game, where we will get to see Megan Walker before the game and (I hope) Lee for breakfast on Tuesday.
Wednesday, I have to go to work.
Thursday and Friday are mellow days, then next Saturday, K leaves for Chicago and I am mom all the time.
Ugh. I have to get up and go to the grocery store right now because we have been gone for a week and there is no food in the house.
I will be working across the street from the park until 5 or so on Monday, if you guys want to stop in.
We have no weekend plans, other than a vague idea that we should start clearing space out for the imminent arrival. I have a feeling I'll be sleeping a lot, though.
My plans include possibly going to the beach in the morning, if it's unexpectedly nice out, seeing Trainwreck tomorrow night. Errands, dad, the usual. (How do you spell the one-syllable version of that? Uszh??)
The youzh? No, that's confusing.
This is clearly a standard that needs to be set.
Usze?
