I use dry vermouth to cook greens or that sort of thing, or to deglaze pans. Anywhere white wine would be called for.
I've had a day, now I want a gin martini too. Too bad I need to finish cleaning house, hair dying, and packing, and DH went back to work for a late meeting. FML

It is finally a comfortable temperature. I guess I should go to sleep, though it kind of seems like a shame to have been awake and doing stuff through the miserable heat and unconscious once it gets pleasant. But if the forecast can be believed it should stay pretty nice for a while, and I have to get through 6 hours of work tomorrow before I can have my 3.5 day weekend.
