I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I caught myself looking forward to an hour of digging into the bottom of the closet.

That's the main reason I like digging through the Storage Heap Room o' Doom: things I didn't know were there! Things I'd forgotten!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Day 4 of staying on calories. Tonight the struggle is real, had to choose between a beer and a piece of dessert. Dessert won. (and the piece is half the size of what it would have been last week).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I sympathize - we've been fighting pantry moths for what feels like forever. I suspect the mothership is in someone else's apartment though, because I've scoured the kitchen and thrown out or sealed up every bit of grain/pasta/fruit we have, and set traps, and sprayed everywhere (behind the stove and fridge, in the corner of every shelf, on top of the cabinets where we keep liquor, EVERYWHERE), and they still keep showing up. (Not in the traps, though. I'm going to try another brand to see if I have more success.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mm, blueberries. Mm, Canter's. Glad you heard that cat, Consuela! Jadzia got similarly trapped in a building under renovation for three weeks and recovered completely with hydration and food, so I would guess feral cat is okay or on the way to ok.

Flan: not conquered but possibly edible. Needs to cool for at least a couple of hours before I find out. Menu: planned. Last Tango in Halifax: caught up. Grocery soipping: at phase Pantry Inventory Update. Everything else: not even started. If I could just do without sleep for a while I could probably get on track.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, aren't they, though? My dad use to talk about picking blueberries in the scrub behind the farm, and running into bears every third time or so. Totally worth it.

I think I've murderized the current mature crop. I know they got started in the recycling, and some maggots must've spilled when I transferred it to a sealed bag in the basement. I've plugged the bigger hole between basement and first floor, so hopefully no survivors will make it up and any left will die of starvation.

Ker-plink, ker-plank, ker-PLUNK!

Blueberries for Sal was my first thought too.

I am ignoring sarameg's flies and their ugly offspring, which you might as well call gingerfonts.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Blueberries for Sal was my first thought too.

Mine too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And I probably say this every time, but I used to work with someone who was friends with Sally McCloskey!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I just made a batch of muffins with those blueberries, and they are SO GOOD.
