Ooh, I can see that. I loved that actor.

FINALLY saw Ultron. I liked it! I don't have any deal-breaker characterization issues in the MCU, just a general love for the fun of it all, and it hit those buttons well for me. I can see all the points here though I care less. I wish the movie was longer to better flesh out the Ultron threat and make it scarier, but I thought the Loki plot was pretty forgettable in The Avengers, too. I have decided that the Avengers forays are about the character interactions more than the consolidating villain, and that's cool by me.
Some of the CG was a little too video game for my taste. Less of it, dudes.
Joss definitely has a distinctive voice that is not always perfectly compatible with other writers. I am unabashedly a fan of the quips though, so I will take it.
There was no character moment as awesome as Black Widow playing Loki so thoroughly, so by that alone it isn't as good as the avengers for me, but I will buy it happily for the deleted scenes.
For some reason, I have very little excitement for Ant Man. I don't know if it's the previews or Paul Rudd, who I've always liked in Apatow movies but who seems to have a whole lot less charisma than Chris Pratt did in GotG previews last summer. I'm hoping it will be surprisingly good, but I'm expecting that it will turn out to be the Cars of the Marvel run.
Seeing that Corey Stoll is the villain, I keep wondering if he'll meet his ultimate fate at the handsstrands of that horrifically bad wig they make him wear on The Strain.
For some reason, I have very little excitement for Ant Man.
I have several reasons for my lack of excitement for it. I'll probably go see it, but I'm only paying matinee price (unless I'm wrong and it turns out to be really good and people unexpectedly go apeshit for it).
Speaking of which, I should watch Guardians of the Galaxy tonight.
I AM GROOT! Best part of the movie.
Rocket and Groot together . . . Howard the Duck at the very end . . .
I've always had a weird affection for Howard.
The new Howard the Duck comic is OK, I guess. I don't think that anyone besides Steve Gerber has ever really gotten the character. In fact, I don't think that anyone besides Steve Gerber on whatever drugs he was on in the seventies has ever really gotten the character.
Guardians was my surprise movie of 2014. I expected Cap2 to be good, and it was. But I had no expectations for Guardians of the Galaxy, and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Groot is my favorite.
