OK, finished! Man, it got a little logy about 3/4 through with the whole weird Simpson subplot, but it got back on track and finished strong.

I ran into this ADORABLE (... seems like the wrong adjective to use for the show) JJ fanart on Tumblr. Spoiler for ep 6: [link]
I cannot stop cooing over it. It's so effin' cute.
Aw.
That is adorable.
LOVE.
I have finished Jessica Jones. There were clunky bits: I was initially thrilled to see Claire from Daredevil but it got real introspective-expositiony there for a bit. But hot damn, what a season of a show. It has DNA threads of Buffy (she reminds me of Wishverse Buffy, you know?) and Veronica Mars (what with the noir PI stuff and the voiceovers and the bitter) and those are both good things. I totally did not see it coming that Kilgrave was still controlling Luke. OUCH.
The first few episodes I was like, "this isn't that disturbing. Am I jaded?" and then it got more disturbing. I think Krysten Ritter hit it out of the park, and having only seen her on Veronica Mars I never would have guessed. Also, Luke Cage, holy hotness. That was some good casting. He has very, very nice skin. Very nice.
As others have said, it was so great to see characters who happened to be female, across such a wide range of ages, colors, shapes, and behavior. Good, bad, petty, venal, evil, competent. So freaking great. My heart sang at little characters like the delivery person who had to deal with Robin (oh jeez, Robin) and the hotel manager out to make the best of getting stiffed.
Also, Malcolm is love. Almost literally.
So it seems like they are setting up IGH as the Big Bad for next season, and I'm guessing that's who is looking for Luke.
I, for one, am super looking forward to it.
I just finished Jessica Jones--the credits are running right now. What a great show! So many interesting women and different ways to be strong.
Have not seen it, but on the list at some point when it is legally available for free. Someone who I respect commented on twitter that Jessica Jones is the ultimate Noir hero, more Noir than Sam Spade, more Noir than Philip Marlowe.
Also, Luke Cage, holy hotness. That was some good casting. He has very, very nice skin. Very nice.
His thing is having unbreakable skin, so casting someone with no blemishes (or pores) must have been a priority.
If Jessica Jones is a noir, then Luke fills the role of femme fatale perfectly. He temps Jessica then sets her up for a fall .
