And an ad for Agent Carter! "I'll need a hobby."

pizza

And I really wish they'd cast someone other than the man I believe to be the Chairman from Iron Chef America as the one Inhuman (too lazy to look him up).

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Well, that was fun. Fitz and Simmons are just heartbreaking with all the heart breaking. Those two kids. Damn.

I like Hunter quite a bit. Full stop. If I had to give up anyone for Tripp, it'd be Lincoln. I just don't enjoy him.

I assume that whatever the creature in the mist is on the portal planet that was hunting Jemma and her astronaut is the Inhuman that Hydra Dad was talking to Ward about, right? I wonder who sent it there all those years ago.

Yup, Iron Chef America. That was disconcerting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, I saw that too, and I know I saw an article about the Wolf, Ram, and Hart being in the Ultron movie in the background somewhere. I didn't bookmark it though.

I saw a reference to that too, in my quick google last night.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I feel sorry for everyone who developed a fancrush on Ward. None of the characters I've ever fixated on turned into psychotic, sadistic killers who are so glorious in their madness. And still some of them cling to the possibility of redemption.

I LOVE WARD SO MUCH. Brett Dalton is a fantastic villain, so calmly yet gleefully sadistic.

I also feel sorry for Rosalyn. I think she was truly thrown into water way out of her depth. I see them leaving the possibility of her and Phil together, if there's any way past what they said to each other in that room.

Same. I'm glad she didn't know she was dealing with Hydra, but also they sure said some things in that room they're going to regret.

I *love* how they're bringing this all together!

I did not see the Hydra reveal coming at all!! I don't know if it has any basis at all in the comics, but this is a fun deviation, though I wonder how it affects the movies.

Fitz and Simmons are just heartbreaking with all the heart breaking.

THEY'RE CURSED. God, their scenes were so raw.

I assume that whatever the creature in the mist is on the portal planet that was hunting Jemma and her astronaut is the Inhuman that Hydra Dad was talking to Ward about, right? I wonder who sent it there all those years ago.

That is my assumption as well.

The show is so fucking good this season. They're not dragging things out or wasting time: they pull their triggers immediately, and it's exciting as fuck because it means they have so much more story to tell.

You've got to love a villain so badass that he'll orchestrate getting blown out of a jetliner over the spot he needs to go. He is so magnificently bad. I can't wait till he reveals how he's going to betray Hydra Dad, because I don't believe for a second that he's willing to stay in any subsidiary position for longer than it works for him. Though of course Hydra Dad will be expecting it, because he's just as conniving. Is Ward savvy enough to be expecting that as well? It could devolve into that one Dr. Who comedy special: "Of course, I knew you'd betray me, so I went back in time to thwart you." "Fool! Naturally you would do something like that, so I went back in time to thwart you!" "Ha! I knew you'd do that!"

I feel like Angel did, but then they had to go and make him good again.

None of the characters on the show want to redeem Ward, unlike Buffy wanting to save Angel. Everybody at SHIELD just wants to shoot Ward in the head.

It's kind of ballsy, when you think about it, that the hijacking of a plane is practically a throw-away scene. I can see the writers' meeting: "OK, Ward needs to get to Germany, how do we do that?" "Why doesn't he just hijack a plane that's going in the right direction?" "Oh, yeah, we can spend a good twenty minutes on that--" "No, no, he just shows up on the plane, throws some charm around, terrifies a bunch of people, then does a D.B. Cooper, and we're done!" "Yeah, we've got a lot of stuff to do anyway."

They truly appreciate that they're doing a comic book show--never explain, never slow down.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

And Ward taunting the henchmen about how he was going to torture them was very Angelus taunting Giles in S2.
