Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).
Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Posters are encouraged to preface their posts to indicate the subject, particulary if switching subjects.
Steph, I had the same reaction as to you to
what happened to Aunt May.
HOWEVER, given that
Uncle Ben has never been mentioned once, and considering some things MCU Peter says earlier, I think it's safe to say this was supposed to be the MCU equivalent of the burglar incident.
Which means, interestingly, that
the period from Civil War through Far From Home is the MCU equivalent of the period from his debut as a wrestler to the burglar incident, where he was briefly a celebrity.
Which kind of fits with his position as someone with Tony Stark as mentor and resource.
On Hawkeye: I want
Armand Jack to join the LARPers.
I want it a lot.
Jacques! Or is it Jack? Anyway, he needs a leisure time activity.
Oh, shit, right. Will edit. But he DOES need a leisure time activity!
Perhaps Armand the youngster could join the LARPers too -- as a quintain.
I still say Armand IV is a clone. There has been no evidence of that whatsoever but I’m quite certain. Anyway, I would allow him to LARP as well.
There's definitely something weird going on with that family, especially with Armand III not being sure how many there are.
Then again, apparently my company's head lawyer is the 6th of his name and his son is the 7th, so there are real families that still do that sort of thing.
One of my high school room-mates was a 13th in unbroken line. There was unspoken pressure on him to plan to get married and have at least one boy to continue the tradition, but he was pretty relaxed about it.
I would like someone to edit a supercut of the trick arrows from Hawkeye with their equivalent angry birds sound effects.
I am behind on Marvel movies. I attempted to watch Black Widow and that is .. not good. So much quick cutting and flashing lights and while I think that style works for what was going on in the beginning it doesn't work with my post concussion stuff.
