Yeah, I’m not sure how I feel about that - I do not at all get how anything could make a nexus spike on Lamentis, much less a steeper spike than has ever been seen before. But I also don’t see how young Sylvie could have messed up the timeline playing alone, so I guess I will roll with it for now and hope the sense-making comes later

And wait, what happened with all the nexus events that Sylvie caused at the end of episode 2? The TVA was scrambling to fix them, but then we didn't see anything more because the TVA wasn't in episode 3.
Or is my memory REALLY bad? Did those nexus events get addressed and I just don't remember it?
Oh, and I bought a ticket to see Black Widow. In a theater.
Oh shit, I need to do that.
I feel like every version of Loki, in any timeline, would answer a resounding yes.
I agree, and yet I don't want this storyline to happen onscreen. I think it reminds me too much of the bit in Time Enough For Love where Lazarus Long spends several agonizing pages being convinced that it's actually totally fine for him to fuck his hot twin girl clones because it is DEFINITELY NOT INCEST for REASONS which are VERY RATIONAL and NOT JUST HEINLEIN'S PERSONAL INCEST KINK. (The storylines aren't actually parallel in any meaningful way, but it's hitting me in a similar headspace. And I also suspect that if they do go down the romance path, it's to set up a reveal that Sylvie isn't actually a Loki variant at all and sidestep the whole issue, which would be pretty boring and lazy. )

Thank you for putting this into words. I could not parse my own reaction but that is it.

Oh, I don't either. I guess I didn't say that before. But in that amorphous area before we get to next week's episode, or any episode where it might happen, my reaction was totally "Well yeah, Loki would do that. He's the do-that God of Mischief."
I would rather that storyline not happen at all, honestly. That's what fanfic is for.
That's what fanfic is for.
I commented on Twitter that I fully expect "compromised by the variant" to be an AO3 tag by this time next week.
Ahahahaha!
Black Widow. In a theater
I almost forgot - I saw Black Widow!! In a theater!! First post-pandemic movie theater experience!!
The movie was...not fantastic. I'm not sure what Black Widow story I wanted, but this wasn't it. (Florence Pugh is terrific, and there are some good moments in there, but the whole thing was weirdly awkward.)
