I do kind of wonder why Gugu Mbatha-Raw wasn't cast as Mobius, though.
If her character’s history in the comics is any guide, Gugu Mbatha-Raw will be playing a much bigger role in the MCU than just this one series.
'Underneath'
Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).
Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Posters are encouraged to preface their posts to indicate the subject, particulary if switching subjects.

Well, things appear to be happening all plot-like and such. I was kind of expecting more wacky time travel shenanigans first, but I’m not mad at it.
Timeline shit just makes my head hurt.
My brother and I are yelling theories at each other over text. This is like when we thought everyone on WandaVision was Mephisto.
But I don't think that's Lady Loki. My money's on a version of the Enchantress. (Although all my Mephisto theories were wrong, so take THAT with a grain of salt.)
All these comic-based theories are practically in a foreign language to me, but I enjoy them. Like a dog listening to its owner talk about some enjoyable but not dog-centered thing
For 2 grown-ass adults in their 40s with jobs and spouses and homes and pets, my brother and I spend a LOT of free time texting wild-ass theories about comic-book-related media. Latest theory: Mobius, as his name suggests, is actually stuck in a Groundhog Day-esque time loop trying to fix/save the Sacred Timeline (what a weird-ass name).
Oh, I like that!
Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
Unless he's Mobius the Living Vampire.
Okay, since I said we should move Loki commentary over here from Natter: can I just say how fucking thrilled I am that we got canon bisexual Loki ON MY BIRTHDAY???
I'm still not convinced that Sylvie is a Loki variant at all, but I kind of love her all the same.
Finally, if the TVA agents are all brainwashed humans who are variants, then Mobius pretty clearly had a jet-ski in his original timeline. And Casey is clearly just Pillboi who wandered into the wrong timeline and got nabbed by the TVA, because that would totally happen to him.

Best birthday present ever!
Brainwashed variants controlled by evil space lizards would definitely explain why Mobius apparently has a reputation for being good at his job when actually he is awful and should be fired.
(Canon bisexual Loki + No Mobius = Massive Improvement Over Previous Eps In This Series)
