Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).
Spoiler policy: For broadcast TV shows, blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast. For movies and Internet streaming shows, whitefont all plot-related discussion until it's been in wide release two weeks. Posters are encouraged to preface their posts to indicate the subject, particulary if switching subjects.
I liked it a lot. It could easily suck long run but as a setup i thought it was good.
I don't mind the universe being run by middle management in the MCU. Feels part and parcel with living planets. The Marvel universes are their own satire.
I don't know if I've even seen Brazil but i described it as 12 Monkeys vibes so I definitely think the Gilliam was strong.
Well, I enjoyed it, but then again I always struggled with Loki becoming "good", and his claim that
he didn't like hurting people
was contradicted by his obvious glee in
zapping the enforcer woman.
Still, the visuals and concepts were pretty fun. I'm on board.
I do kind of wonder why Gugu Mbatha-Raw wasn't cast as Mobius, though. She could have done it.

If her character’s history in the comics is any guide, Gugu Mbatha-Raw will be playing a much bigger role in the MCU than just this one series.
Well, things appear to be happening all plot-like and such. I was kind of expecting more wacky time travel shenanigans first, but I’m not mad at it.
Timeline shit just makes my head hurt.
My brother and I are yelling theories at each other over text. This is like when we thought everyone on WandaVision was Mephisto.
But I don't think that's Lady Loki. My money's on a version of the Enchantress. (Although all my Mephisto theories were wrong, so take THAT with a grain of salt.)
All these comic-based theories are practically in a foreign language to me, but I enjoy them. Like a dog listening to its owner talk about some enjoyable but not dog-centered thing
For 2 grown-ass adults in their 40s with jobs and spouses and homes and pets, my brother and I spend a LOT of free time texting wild-ass theories about comic-book-related media. Latest theory: Mobius, as his name suggests, is actually stuck in a Groundhog Day-esque time loop trying to fix/save the Sacred Timeline (what a weird-ass name).
Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
Unless he's Mobius the Living Vampire.
