GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I have to agree with the Nerdist's argument that the 90s X-MEN cartoon, of all things, still holds the title of the best adaptation of the storyline: [link] if only because they followed the complete arc and actually let us care, rather than the "evil force makes Jean go crazy and kill her friends" story the movies insist on doing.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

When I saw that it was by the same guy who wrote the screenplay the LAST time this story was filmed, I knew it would be a dumpster fire.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was co-written by David Benioff (from GoT).

I'm not sure if you're trying to support or to refute Matt's argument.

In the wake of people's reactions to the last few episodes, it feels like support.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The lyrics are so appropriate for Thor at that point in his life.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

I saw Dark Phoenix over the last weekend and...I wouldn't say it was Bad, just Okay. The thing is, for the best story-arc ever of my favorite comics team, Okay just isn't enough. I'm increasngly convinced that movies just aren't a good fit for stories where part of the appeal is the interaction between a large number of characters in multiple combinations. In a serialized format like comics or a TV show you have time to showcase all those relationships, but in a 2-3 hour one-shot some characters will inevitably become wallpaper.

That said, I thought the fact that, in at least two major turning points, the right answer turning out to be "trust Jean" redeemed a lot of issues.

I have my ticket for Far From Home for the 4th of July. Imax with luxury seating. I didn't particularly want Imax, but it was the only one available. I hear it's pretty much the epilogue for Endgame. I'll get lots of napkins for crying.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We're going to be on vacation when it opens, so we either have to wait until we come home, or see if (1) there's a movie theater within reasonable driving distance, and (2) if we can wrangle people into going with us.
