Nat angsting over what could have been with Banner will do in a pinch for me. Since I'll be running to the restroom to upchuck anyway...
Is 45 minutes of that SLO mo Of long-haired bearded Cap running and/or working out? Cause if not, I'd like to talk to some editors.
And a whole bunch of Bucky-Steve reunioning.
Honestly, the fact that Tony thought "Oh, hey, I'll grab this 15 y.o. and haul him off to Germany to take down fucking CAPTAIN AMERICA" as opposed to the 4 goddamned adult superheroes making the news in NYC for the past several years...
...3 I suppose. Iron Fist is on the DL, I guess, but DD, Luke Cage and JJ have all been prominent in the news.
But Peter is considerably more powerful and his powers lend themselves well to non-violently incapacitating people, for that don't-wanna-kill-my-friends ethic. I think any of the four would be seriously outclassed in that fight (though Wanda was probably the only ally of Cap's that could have hurt Luke), whereas Peter held his own.
From a perspective of potential harm, siccing Vision on the opposing team was a bigger blunder. He's the one that was knocking down whole buildings, and used a ranged attack on a normal human that was capable of disabling an Iron Man suit. (For comparison, Tony has taken multiple blows from Thor and the Hulk in those things and not suffered serious injury!)
Hawkeye is non-powered. And PP is fifteen!! And IM lied to his guardian and took him out of the country to fight against the Avengers...against whom a decorated war veteran of 30 years was permanently paralysed.
DD and IF would have been much better choices. I'm pretty sure JJ would have told them to fuck off, and LC might have still been in prison...and it's likely DD and IF might have not been too keen on the idea either.
I think LC and DD would have been very against registration. JJ would not like it but she's very outed so I think she would register. Danny? I dunno. He's dumb as dirt -- I can't tell.
Honestly, the fact that Tony thought "Oh, hey, I'll grab this 15 y.o. and haul him off to Germany to take down fucking CAPTAIN AMERICA"
Right? I love Spidey (LOOOOOVE), but he has no business being in Infinity War, Iron Spider or no.
I mean, Tony is pretty obviously the villain of that movie, right? The fact that that it hasn't really stuck is totally just Comics!, movie version. He got Peter because Peter was gullible and hero-worshippy, full stop. Black Panther was only on his side to kill Bucky; I don't think he had a real opinion on the registration issue (though I haven't seen his personally movie yet, so maybe not). Vision was on his side because I-don't-really-know-why; I don't read his comics and in the movies he mostly just feels like Doctor Manhattan, who also detachedly worked for the good of a semi-fascist government. Black Widow was on his team because... I don't know? I think it would have made more sense to flip her and Hawkeye if 5-on-5 with two ringers was a necessity, but whatever.
That said, I think his ignoring the TV-verse makes sense. Jessica and Luke would totally have called Iron Man on his BS because damn the man. Daredevil isn't fond of big government either, and is way too smart not to see through Tony.
I hope that Peter actually figures out Tony is kind of awful in the next movie and they get their own little showdown.
