GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Well, the Rotten Tomatoes score is 9% rather than 0.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Seeing Ant-Man again this afternoon. Two friends have squeezed their first viewing into their work/life schedules and I cannot bail on them, but man, this day has sucked and I really want to just go to back to bed.

But! I do want to see it again, so I can finalize my reaction to Peggy, Howard, and young!Hank. I'll report back. News as it happens!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm going to see Mr. Holmes tomorrow, and then I want to see Sean the Sheep, and once I've got those watched I can see about Ant Man. Plans!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

So because I was basically dared into it, I now own both the previous FF movies. Movies I purposefully avoided viewing.

I'm mildly terrified.

As your friend, I feel compelled to warn you: before watching the first movie, drink enough that you don't object to the idea of Jessica Alba playing a rocket scientist, and while watching the second movie make sure you're sober enough to find something else to do for five minutes as soon as you see a dance floor.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Boing boing noted today that the original, unreleased Roger Corman version of the FF is up on youtube.

Why was that FF movie never released?

Liked Ant-Man as much on the second viewing. Just a fun film. I hadn't even realized that was Peggy Carter in the beginning; I didn't recognize Atwell.

Well, I own both seasons of Dark Angel, so I have an entire suspension bridge for my disbelief.

She's much more believable as a genetically engineered super soldier who periodically goes into heat.

Why was that FF movie never released?

The producers held the rights to the Fantastic Four, and if they didn't make a movie within a certain time frame, the rights would revert back to Marvel. So they made the cheapest movie possible.
