Plus the whole "No one takes me seriously that I see trouble coming because I'm just a kid, so I have to do something" thing.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I get that, for the purposes of character growth, the film had to have Happy ignore Peter's calls, or else Iron Man would come to the rescue every single time (instead of just a couple of times). But that got old REALLY quickly.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But that was the point.

I get that, I just didn't find it enjoyable.

I was actually surprised--though I shouldn't have been, I guess--that the Vulture turned out to be who he was. That car ride with the realizations on both sides was very stressful to watch.

It was SO stressful! But really well done.

Compassionately intolerant

Totally agreed on that point, Connie. Super stressful.

the OG Avengers, who are comparatively old as shit.

Well, that it true, too.

It would be interesting to see a storyline that addressed Peter's realization that as far as origin stories go, his is surprisingly trauma-lite. Yeah, his uncle was murdered, but it's not suffering through multiple life-threatening illnesses during the Great Depression then going to war, nor being manipulated by the Red Room, nor escaping an abusive family and joining a circus, nor being captured and tortured by terrorists. Heck, until Peter showed up, Thor had the most nurturing childhood of any of them (as far as the OG Avengers go, that is, Sam's Mama trumps them all).

Maybe Peter asking Tony what makes a supervillain, and Tony describing someone with wealth and massive computer and engineering skills out to right wrongs and avenge his own hurts . Peter says "Dr. Doom?" and Tony says, "Me, if I hadn't had people who loved me. And given the existence of Ultron in the world, there's a plausible argument that those people who love me didn't make much difference."

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Why is Natasha blonde in that poster? that is more disturbing than Steve's beard.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Why is Natasha blonde in that poster? that is more disturbing than Steve's beard.

My guess is, much like Steve's beard, it's part of changing her appearance while being on the run post-Civil War.

Ah, had not thought of that.
