"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well, some stuff is hypothesized in Ep 5 but not really confirmed until 6. It's still a fun ride before anything makes sense, though.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It makes more sense from episode to episode. But the first several make you re-evaluate the premise each time.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was annoyed with it until episode 5, which I thought was great, and then back to being annoyed again with ep 6. At this point I'm intrigued enough to keep watching, but there had better be one HELL of a payoff. This show is really lucky it's so pretty.

(We did tell Bill Irwin we were really enjoying the show when we saw him on the street outside Town Hall this weekend before The Cameraman, but we were just being polite. He told us it had been renewed for a second season, and more or less said he hoped it made more sense to watch than it did to film, but that he was having fun doing it.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm enjoying Legion a lot. Is it bad that it's making sense to me?

It makes sense to me but I know the comic's premise. I know who Aubrey's character is supposed to be.

I have to say it has the best production values I've seen since Pushing Daisies (I think it's the same designer).

It's got gorgeous visuals.

I just wish the show weren't trying SO HARD to not make sense. I get that they're going for an unreliable-narrator-possessed-by-a-more-powerful-unreliable-narrator thing, but even the characters who aren't David will have conversations completely devoid of NOUNS for no other purpose than making sure the audience has to keep guessing what the fuck they're talking about.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

It's beautifully done and I'm very intrigued. Just wasn't sure if it was going over my head or purposefully all over the place.

Oh safe to say the incoherence is intentional and has a point.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Jess! YOU MET BILL IRWIN? I have worshiped the guy ever since I saw this bit of brilliance on PBS in the 80s. [link] I wore out my tape of it from watching it so many times.

By the way--if you click the link, you can watch the whole thing and be forever indebted to me.
