I'm rewatching the S1 finale for AoS, and yes, it's "Is that Nick Motherfucking Fury saving the day!" again. This finale just makes me all sorts of happy all over the place.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

The Coulson-Fury snarkfest at Garrett. So wonderful.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

See, it didn't go over that well with me. I guess I was glad to see Fury, but that showdown and the whole run of dialog just struck me as awkward and artificial.

The utter blaseness in the face or oratical evil just makes me happy. "You didn't tell me he was this crazy." "He's really stepped it up a notch." You expect them to hold up scoring signs for Dr. Doom speeches or something. I guess the apparent history of mutual snark makes me happy.

"Why the hell did you give that incoherent rant a 9, Coulson?"
"I was impressed by his use of alliteration in the middle, sir."
"OK, yeah, that was good, but he lost points when he tried to work in the speech before Agincourt."

Also, the thing Phil shot Garrett with at the end was the 084 in the wall of the Peruvian temple in Ep 2. Did we know that?

The AoS fanclub on FB proposed an interesting thought: Bond vs. Coulson, who wins? Naturally Phil's getting most of the votes, but the consensus seems to be that Bond would slip away (and get laid) but they'd end up on the same side.
