I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yes. I like that trend in general, but I thought the first arc was much stronger than the second one this season.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

AOS can kill anyone in the finalé except Mac. Mac would be unacceptable, to me.

For those looking for Stucky fic, I love Owlet's work: [link] It was all written pre-CACW, and will not be canon compliant for it. But there's a lot of good "Did Hydra never hear of a hair tie" bits and an appropriate respect for coffee.

I'm going to see CACW again this weekend. It was nicely complex, and I think there are a lot of details that would repay repeat viewing (and not just CE's biceps).

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

I actually think AOS has picked up a bit since Daisy turned. There was a definite treading-water feel while Hive was just lurking around being smirky.

I was impressed that Hive was perfectly happy pulling all of Daisy's blood. His agenda is wonderfully, well, inhuman. The actor (I always blank on his name) is terrific. That little tic in Hive's jaw when he saw Lash was marvelous. Just a little "Oops. Did not see that one coming."

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Brett Dalton plays Hive. I saw him and Elizabeth Henstridge (Simmons) at Wizard World in April. They were a hoot; great onstage foils for each other! I think's he's a fun person to be around, but I find his acting a bit too understated when he's not being batshit crazy.

Brett Dalton will be an Awesome Con in DC the first weekend in June.

One thing I enjoy with Hive is the way a really terrific coat can enhance a character.

Yeah, I'll go with "character."

The coat got a lot of attention at the con; the fans really liked it. He would have liked to keep it, but I don't think he got to.
