The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm going to end up watching The Untamed, aren't I? Dammit.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

;^) I'm following a couple of Untamed mavens on my Tumblr--one is also an SPN and a Shadowhunters fan, so that works out nicely, she's laoih. Another, who has done a lot to help me clarify who's who and related to who and the whys and wherefores is hysieme--they do a lot of meta. And several gif and pic pushers are around, too.

So. very. pretty.

Anyone else watching S3 of Star Trek: Disco? I'm enjoying it quite a lot. The last episode was really interesting: I wasn't as into the character stuff with Burnham (I think the narrative rewarded her too quickly), but I loved the stuff they're doing with Vulcans and Romulans.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I agree she was rewarded pretty darn fast - but I love how they move things along

Orphan Black did that too.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Star Trek Discovery has been my ultimate TV comfort food during all of this. This season is so different and it's taking me a while to get into it, but I'm getting there.

Posited: In ST:Disco Season 3, Starfleet isn't the US Navy (or the British Navy, or whatever); it's the Coast Guard.

Saving lives, keeping the lines of communication and transportation running, stitching together a far-flung network of peoples with limited resources and limited military power. Sounds more like the Coast Guard than the Navy to me...

In the end it's only ever been one step, and then the next.

Starfleet isn't the US Navy (or the British Navy, or whatever); it's the Coast Guard.

Head canon accepted!
