Thrive to spite them

I have finished The Witcher.

I had no idea it finished on a cliffhanger....

I enjoyed it , I want more, I need to get back to the first book which I find more confusing at times than the tv show.

Herding cats for fun

I've just finished watching Midnight Diner on Netflix. You won't like it if reading subtitles bothers you, but if you enjoy heartfelt stories wth an emotional payoff about how someone can really love curry ramen or cream stew, this one might float your boat.

The story started out as manga before it was televised and it's about a mysterious chef known only as the Master who runs an izakaya in a tiny alleyway in Tokyo's Shinjuku district that is open from midnight to seven am. Recurring characters make this one more fun than Cheers. I'm only sorry there aren't any more episodes for me to watch.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Benihoff & Weiss will be writing/directing an adaptation of The Three Body Problem for Netflix.

Please please PLEASE let them hire some Chinese writers to help them not utterly fuck this up.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I'm finding it difficult to image a scenario where they DON'T fuck it up.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, it's complete, so they won't have to make up anything on their own...I'm not sure I think it should be made into a TV show at all, but I would be pleased to be proved wrong about that

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Sigh. Yeah, I'd have to see some real strong reviews to give that a try, despite being a fan of the books.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I saw a mention about a documentary - Criterion, I think - about a country fiddler. It's called Sprout Wings and Fly if anyone's interested.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's called Sprout Wings and Fly if anyone's interested.

A Les Blank movie! He also did Gap Toothed Women.
