If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I finished my first Good Omens watch, and now I'm ready to watch it again without my changes-from-the-book nitpicking goggles on. (Does anyone else do this with adaptations when you're really familiar with the source material? One time through as an adaptation, then a second pass to just appreciate the new thing for what it is.)

Sometimes I skip the second pass part, as in that "adaptation" of A Wizard of Earthsea the Sci-Fi network made some years back, or Peter Jackson's The Hobbit trilogy.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Even though Tim never really agrees with me when I point out slashy subtext* in media (he kind of agrees on Steve/Bucky, which is a HUGE concession on his part), after we watched the last episode last night, *he* was the one who turned to me and said "I REALLY hope there are people at Pride cosplaying as Crowley and Aziraphale." Awwwww YISSSS.

*(Though I wouldn't call Crowley and Aziraphale's relationship "subtext." I'd call it the whole damn text and then some.)

(Tim could totally cosplay Crowley, because he has the hair for certain time periods, he has the leather pants, and -- I promise this is true -- he has Crowley's walk down cold, have mercy.)

Thrive to spite them

I started watching the vid, even though we haven't watched episode 6 yet and had to stop. It looks good but I can't watch vids where the source audio is left in because I have trouble processing the singing and the speaking.

Plus I think a good vid doesn't need the dialogue to tell the story

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I don't know that this is the best thing ever. But it's definitely the best thing I've read today. Thousands are petitioning for Netflix to cancel Good Omens. As Gaiman said, nobody tell them, OK? [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh. My. God.

That's beautiful.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Herding cats for fun

Ha ha ha. This is even better than when protesters paid a ridiculous amount of money on parking fees when they showed up full of righteous indignation to protest the Passion of the Christ movie.

I won't tell them if you don't.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Well, since it's appeared on various news sites - and the petition was online so they have access - I suspect they've been told.

Reminds me a little of the year the March for Life people turned up in D.C. during a snowstorm to protest outside the Planned Parenthood building ... only PP had moved, the building was boarded up and there was no one there.
