The first episode was DELIGHTFUL. I'm trying to convince my non-binge-watching husband to watch the second episode, but he's all "We should spread it out, so we have something to look forward to!" Sheesh.
Dear Carrot Boy,
It's a mini-series. Currently there is no second season of
Good Omens
in the works. Think of it as a long movie. It's not like you've got to stretch it out until season two debuts, because there isn't one*.
Binge binge binge
Love,
Cindy
*I don't think Gaiman wants to do more without Pratchett. That said, they had done some unpublished work on a follow-up, some of which was incorporated into this season, so I wouldn't say a second season or some other kind of spinoff is impossible. It's just not in the works.
The first episode was DELIGHTFUL.
Teppy, DELIGHTFUL is exactly it. I even love the music over the opening credits. I adore everything about it thus far.
There was a scene in episode 3 or 4 (we got a little mixed up in our watching, because one time dh fell asleep and another time I did) that I tensed up before watching, but it turned out to be for no reason.
We watched the first episode last night and it was PERFECTION.
PERFECTION is also exactly it
The
crucifixion
scene was a tough watch.
One thing they didn't include was the explanation of why all the Queen. I read a review where the reviewer was wondering why Queen kept turning up in the soundtrack. I wanted to comment "Read the book!", but it would have involved giving them my e-mail address.
I have watched the second episode. I prefer the longer hair on Crowley. The actor who plays Adam reminds me Matt Smith. If Matt Smith looked like that as a kid.
David Tennant wears red hair better than I expected.
I binged the whole thing over the weekend. And I feel great about my life choices.
We are three eps in. So good.

Agreed. We watched that episode tonight, and daaaaaamn.

What? All the Queen in the Bentley
(no matter what it starts as)
is one of my favorite things!
Same, Calli. I didn't intend to, but these thing happen. No regerts
... scene was a tough watch.
That was the one. I haven't read the books, so I was afraid it might be
a mockery
and my shiny new favorite would sour on me. It was still hard to watch, but not in the way I feared.

I don't know why it is in there, except for that it is in the book (which I knew from fandom cross-pollination, I guess).
That said, even as someone who doesn't know why, it just seemed to me like Crowley characterization -- like it's his jam. I will be reading the book, but is there something more than that?
No regerts
Oh, that tattoo. I hadn't thought of that in a long time, -t. It made me smile.
is there something more than that?
There is! And since you're going to read the book, I won't spoil you.

I will - your choice... It seems that
in England all cassette tapes left in a car for more than a fortnight metamorphose into "Best of Queen" albums. It's a thing, apparently. In the US it would probably be "Best of the Eagles" or something.
