Still, she's interesting!

Two eps into Sense8. I like it.

Naveen Andrews. Still hot.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I've only watched the Sense8 pilot, and because I am forever the Wachowski sibling's bitch (even after Jupiter Ascending! I forgive you, Wachowskis!) I will keep watching even though I'm pretty sure this show is a hot mess.

You can tell it's a Netflix original because the first hour had both hot lesbian sex, and someone peeing on their father's grave.

#2 on that list is a little unsettling because Netflix basically commissions/greenlights stuff based on algorithms that say "Our subscribers love shows with elements X, Y, and Z so we'll buy a show with those things in it and it will be popular." NETFLIX SUBSCRIBERS ARE PERVERTS.

Oh, man, if there’s one thing the Wachowskis don’t need, it’s the opportunity to tell an even llllooonngeeerrr story. I don’t know if I’m going to make it through a twelve hour screening of Intolerance.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I watched the first episode of it last night also, & I thought that it was interesting. Of course, there was a lot of introductory material with so many characters. I just about flipped out when I saw Martha Jones/Freyma Ageman (sp?) as a dreadlocked naked lesbian in San Francisco, but of course, her character is awesome and beautiful!

I think it's one of those series that I'll watch an episode or two a day, as opposed to Daredevil, when I, even though I was in the throes of moving and showings, took every free second to watchevena minute or two more and stayed up very late at night when I shouldn't have, just to suck the show down as fast as possible.

I am on episode 5 of Sense8 and I know it's a hot mess, but I like it anyway.

I confess that I do fast-forward through certain characters...which is making it shorter and easier to watch.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I started Sense8 last night, and didn't have the brane to stick with it (I did go, "Freema!" though). I'll probably save it for October, when my brain isn't melted to nonfunctioning liquid.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I watched the whole season over the weekend, and I recommend it. I had to accept that the Big SF Mystery Plot was not going to be a major focus of the series and that it was more about following the characters' individual stories, which, though they were not all equally compelling, I enjoyed. It gets better with each episode, and it improves a lot once characters actually start interacting with each other while sensating instead of just having constant "Huh, weird" moments. That's what the show is really about, this human connection across cultures and continents.

By the end of the season, I loved all the characters, and I hope JMS gets to fulfill his five-season plan. The show does have a hot-mess quality to it (and the dialogue is not always the best, though it has its moments), but I respect its ambition, especially its mission to tell diverse stories. A sci-fi show with an Indian woman main character whose story is filmed in India and portrays Indian culture accurately, what.
