I loved The Pres and the DA as lovers! Dan and I marathoned it one night, and I thought it was pretty damned funny and poignant.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I watched the first 4 eps, and it's taken me that long to really get into it, maybe because I missed bits and pieces of a couple eps while I was doing stuff. I am liking it so far though, especially now that I have the characters sorted out.

Residue on Netflix, which Rio recommended, is FANTASTIC. Three eps, set in London with a bunch of GoT characters, and it's about the aftermath of an explosion of a weapons cache in the middle of the city. It's really well acted, creepy as fuck in many places (supernatural elements, plus some gore but nothing super crazy) well-written, beautifully shot, and ends ambiguously (but I think there will be Series 2.) I highly recommend it!

ETA: Er, GoT ACTORS. The characters would be a really, um, weird show. I don't think it would work...

Can I clarify here that the "Rio" many people have friended on FB is not the Buffista!Rio of HELLO FUCKOS and "Eat a Muffin, Whitey!" fame.

There still seems to be a lot of confusion about this.

FB!Rio - that's her real name.

Buffista!Rio went to college with FB!Rio (they were good friends) and just happened to use her name when she registered with us as a kind of pseud (never anticipating the explosion in social media which might cross the streams).

Is that clear?

I knew this, because of Buffista!Rio's husband, but I was rather confused when I friended FB Rio. (But sometimes I forget...)

Both of whom are awesome. I did NOT know they were college friend IRL!

I have a picture of them at college in the 90s looking quite the artsy grunge girls in their black leather and silver rings, smoking and drinking and getting into mischief.

Heh. You described me from 93 on.
