I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I sure loved that show when it was airing and haven't seen it since. Kind of afraid to rewatch at this point.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Wheel of Time 2.6:

Madeline Madden impressed the hell out of me in this episode. Just an incredible physical and emotional performance. I've seen a lot of comparisons to the classic TNG episode "Chain of Command" which fits with my memory of said episode, though I would need to rewatch it to compare.

Ahsoka 108:

That was kind of underwhelming.

I am very disappointed Chopper didn't smack Ezra in the knee or something. Being friendly is out of character for him.

Also, Ezra is apparently studying at the Anakin Skywalker School of Being Needlessly Dramatic. You seriously couldn't ditch at least the helmet before exiting the Imperial shuttle ?

Kalshane, concur on all counts. I mean, didn't Chopper try to kill Ezra repeatedly in S1 of Rebels?

Chopper is a murder droid, and not in the endearing way that Murderbot is.

Overall, that felt a lot more like a Rebels finale than a live-action finale. All the emotional beats were underplayed and not in a cool Andor-like way.

I'm also a bit cranky that the explanation for Sabine's training is that she really is Force-sensitive, just blocked. Because it wasn't her Force-ness that was blocked in Rebels, just her emotions/ability to connect with the Darksaber. I do not like this retcon.

I kind of like the idea that anyone can be a Jedi and it doesn't depend on a biological ability to connect with the Force. You can be a Jedi by training and living like a Jedi.

Anyway, it was ok. I may need to rewatch Andor now.

Yes. Chopper tried to kill Ezra at least twice on Rebels and unless I'm misremembering the final seasons never had any semblance of affection for him. The only person he didn't seem to actively dislike was Hera.

I think that a better scene would have been Ezra stepping off the shuttle without his helmet and while everyone is in shock about him being back Chopper rolls up and does something mean to him. I mean, I guess maybe the concern was we haven't seen enough of Chopper's attitude in the show and people not familiar with Rebels would be confused by his actions.

I'm also annoyed with Sabine having full blown Force powers. I think her simply embodying the Jedi way and maybe having some "soft" powers like intuition and enhanced reflexes like Chirrut from Rogue One would have been way more appropriate.

Compassionately intolerant

Holy shit, that was Claudia Black as the Dathomir Great Mother on Ahsoka.
I am a crack shot with identifying voices, but I would never have gotten there on my own with this one!

100% my immediate thought. I _loooved_ that show and am deeply concerned that the sexism will take me out.

I pursued a copy of the book that had the biggest impact on my life...for FIFTY years. I finally got it and ended crying and tossing it in the trash. I could not even give it away. OY. The sexism, racism, ableism, younameitism just made me so sad.

So, I might just cherish my Moonlighting memories for their historical value.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have been avoiding it, because I just want to hear what JZ thinks, but this was a week of OFMD on streaming. I cried a lot, both with the show, and not being able to hear her reactions. There are so many more women!

Oh, she would have loved that.

She spent a lot of time thinking about Stede's wife and Spanish Jackie.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Our nephew talked us into watching the live-action One Piece on Netflix, and it's honestly extremely entertaining.

Now tagless for your comfort.

OH MY CALYPSO'S BIRTHDAY!!! OFMD is sooooooooooooooo fantastic.

Our nephew talked us into watching the live-action One Piece on Netflix, and it's honestly extremely entertaining.

Better than the live action Cowboy Bebop. And I think, better even than the anime. Mostly because I don't especially love the early seasons of the OP anime.
