What is even happening?

How did the comic end, Dana?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ted Lasso question: I'm up to Season 2 ep 4: Were the opening credits stop-motion artists the same ones who did Community, or was it just a tribute? Because it wasn't just claymation, it was a very visually specific style. Anyhow, I gasped and squealed and I so badly want it to be deliberate and conscious, but my Google searches are giving me no love with either confirmation or denial.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

JZ, Tim asked the same question, because he loves that episode of Community with his whole heart, so much that the first time we watched it, as soon as it ended, he asked, "Can we watch that again?" and he never, EVER does that, with anything.

All of which is to say: I also have NO idea if it was the same stop-motion artists or not.

Tep, So either I'm not nuts to see it or at least Tim and I are nuts together in exactly the same way? This is strangely deeply comforting, truly.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

How did the comic end, Dana?

I had to look up character names, because I read it ages ago, but he and 355 make it to where they're going, and there is a big moment where they profess their love for one another, and then she immediately gets shot and killed.

Our wings are not tired.

I went looking on Hulu for something that I would enjoy watching by myself since so many of the things I am watching have to wait around for DH to be home. So I started watching Find me in Paris, which is based on a stuck out of her own time ballerina. First, I thought it would be interesting because of the dance, and of course always a timey wimey fan.

10 episodes in and I find it completely delightful and relaxing. Very good dancers. Pure junk food in many ways, but with dance.

What is even happening?

Oh, no! Thanks, Dana.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I saw that one of the streaming services (? I think?) will be running a 20th Anniversary Harry Potter ... thing. I didn't pay that much attention ... except Daniel Radcliffe has grown up very nicely. The Empress will be pleased.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I am both looking forward to and dreading the Wheel of Time series starting on Friday. I know the books had some problems and were also way too long/too many but I got hooked on them when they were first coming out and feel the good far outweighed the bad, overall.

So I watched the first episode of Wheel of Time last night. They made a lot of changes from the books, which is to be expected. I'm okay with most of them, but I'm really questioning some others.

1) Why give Perrin a wife only for her to have no real lines or characterization and then kill her off?

2) Why change Mat from mischievous to full-on criminal? And why change his parents into shitty people?

3) This one is petty, but Why change Two Rivers from the name of the region to the name of the village?
