My son made me watch The Umbrella Academy last year and they need to bring me more very soon. It is my understanding they are filming. I never watched Supernatural so I can't comment on the Dean comparison. Maybe some day I'll watch, really the only thing that turned me off in the first episode(s?) was that it was so dark, as in hard for me to see because the scenes were all in the dark. It was a while ago, so that is my only recollection.

Oh huh - I can see the Dean Winchester, but I didn't really pick up on it at the time.
I’m surprised that I’m liking Shadow and Bone as much as I do.
Did you not expect to like it? I’m only one episode in, I’m not sure how I feel about it yet
Other Netflix fantasy adaptations have left me cold.
Ah, thanks, that’s helpful
I am watching now. I had never heard of it but the author was just on Felicia Day’s podcast, and I really liked her. There is a cute goat that (I guess spoiler) does not die.
The goat is the real hero of the show!
And I just made the mistake of trying to watch the Shadow & Bones aftershow. I’m not sure how I feel about having my intelligence assaulted by Netflix so relentlessly like that.
I appreciate the goat spoilers!
In this case, does "goat" stand for "greatest of all time"?
