I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Keep in mind with Lucy Lawless that she broke her pelvis in multiple places falling off a horse coming onto the stage of the Leno era Tonight Show. I doubt it's ever fully recovered and probably causes her some pain.

"You should never say bad things about the dead, only good… Joan Crawford is dead. Good.” —Bette Davis

Michelle Yeoh is 58 and I was watching her very convincingly beat the crap out of Jason Isaacs and assorted extras not that long ago. (Admittedly the scenes were shot about four years ago, but still...)

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I would also accept Michelle Yeoh on The Mandalorian, provided it doesn't interfere with her being icily competent on ST: DISCO.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You could age her up a few years and swap in Marishka Hargitay.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Tim Burton is going to be directing a live-action "coming of age" show about Wednesday Addams. I have many conflicting feelings about this. SO. MANY.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just saw that reported elsewhere, Atropa. I have concerns.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Well, Burton has a solid chance of getting the aesthetic right, but I'm not sure how Johnny Depp will do as Wednesday.

:: weeps because it's true ::

A friend of mine on Twitter asked the important question of "I wonder how many women will be in the writing room?"

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Well, Burton has a solid chance of getting the aesthetic right, but I'm not sure how Johnny Depp will do as Wednesday.

Oh god that is all of my feelings right there.

I'm not sure when Tim Burton went from must-see to oh-god-no-anyone-but-him for me, but...ugggggh, I don't want to watch him fuck up something he could have done brilliantly in his sleep in 1992.
