Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I would say the show is better than the books, mostly because there are costumes! And I love them! And I didn't do super research into how accurate they are, but I remember English Regency as being was more like the Featheringtons than French Empire. Those fashion plates looked like the ladies were wearing cakes! But, I seriously barely remember the books.

IIRC, the Anthony book (next) had a Taming of the Shrew/Kiss me Kate vibe, which will be interesting to see if they go with.

And how much will we see of Daphne and Simon after this first one?

Always an issue with romances, isn't it? But Simon is still Anthony's best friend, and I would imagine Daphne will help when her sisters come out. Will they settle into the background and be the boring happily married couple? I don't know that I want to see any more of their drama, however if they are kind of ongoing working on their their communication issues amidst everyone else's drama that might be interesting.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I'd been aware of the Bridgerton books, but had not read any. With all the fuss about the series, I thought I'd check out the first one. I got about half way through before deciding I just wasn't interested in any more of it.

I have seen a good deal of discussion about the costumes, which look pretty, if not accurate. Whatever ... I look at the pictures and go "ooh, pretty" and then move on.

I like the series way more than I like the books, but I think it might just because it is pretty, and I also love the actress who plays Penelope, as well as the one who plays Lady Danbury.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Are we talking about the Expanse finale yet? Because, OMG. Wow. So good.

Useta-could.

The Expanse

I got impatient with the time spent watching Naomi's face while she was on the float, hoping for rescue. I kept skipping ahead.

I couldn't keep up with the space battle, couldn't recognize which ships were which by appearance alone. Maybe I'll do better on re-watch.

I liked the bit near the end, "This is what winning will look like."

Oh, I loved the space battle - I thought it was one of the best choreographed I've ever seen on TV. Maybe ever on any screen.

I'm curious to see how the show will deviate from the rest of the series, given they will be compressing multiple books into a single season. (Unless they're holding out hope for "and a movie")

Damn. That was something.

I couldn’t really follow the space battle but I figure that was just me not knowing who was who. I couldn’t even remember which ship Drummer was on for sure. Pretty, in any case. Maybe when I do my next binge rewatch I’ll catch it all better. There were some other details I’m not sure I understood.

I am also really curious about what gets into next season. There’s a lot of stuff yet to happen and isn’t a whole book still coming out this year?

In any case, the whole thing was massively satisfying for me.

There are four books left in the series (three existing, one upcoming) and one season left of the show. I hope the last book is published before the last season comes out because I really don't want to be spoiled, even if there are major changes (which, obviously).

I am pretty upset about Cas Anver turning out to be a predatory creep because DAMNIT, ALEX

Same, Jess.

Do we not have a date for the last book? I thought there was one but I probably made it up.
