I just wrote "I'm good either way" to a coworker regarding a reporting process but what I heard in my head was Amos saying "I'm down for whatever"

Thanks for solving my baby gift dilemma!
LOL
5 episodes in, and this season of The Expanse just isn't grabbing me.
Really? I’m am so very into it. Thoroughly grabbed.
I'm unevenly engaged, I guess. Maybe one and a half of the parallel stories is engaging me, one and a half are really irritating, and a couple are boring.
But the effects are amazing.
It’s possible that my love for Amos and Clarissa is casting a halo over everything else. Bobbi going all Captain America was pretty sweet. I do spend a fair amount of my watching time trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to remember what happened in the book.
Volans, uneven engagement has been my experience with The Expanse, too. C really wants DH and I to watch it with him, so I'm just doing it for him. I would have tuned out by now, had I chosen it on my own. We're partway into season 2.
It seems to follow the books pretty closely, so I stopped reading them ahead of the show (I'd read the first one about 10 years ago but it all came back when I started watching).
Amos is great and I was hoping the season would be more Amos. I am torn on Clarissa - I like watching the actress, but the character has a pretty high body count to get a redemption arc, and I feel like that's where they are going. (Of course, I have a history of being less tolerant of mistakes made by characters we are "supposed to like;" I offended basically everyone by cheering when Adama got shot in BSG.)
I don't so much like Clarissa at this point as like how she works within Amos's story. They are interesting variations to the ethical thought experiment.
I can see the value of not reading ahead but my rabid need to find out what happens next would never allow me to do that. It is both a blessing and frustration that I can't remember exactly what happened when, so I neither know what's coming next on the show nor recognize when things have changed. There are certain things that I was waiting to happen last season that didn't and I honestly don't know if it was because the story was compressed for TV or because things I remember happening in that setting actually happened somewhere/when else...
I've started watching The Expanse. I skimmed through it and i'm now going back and rewatching. I've found lately I have a hard time focusing through an entire episode of a show and so I kind of pick a character and watch their parts and read recaps and figure out what is going on and then go back and watch when there is little unknown. It's like cliffhangers are too much of the unknown for me.
I'm really liking it and there is so much detail and depth to the world. I've been watching some youtube videos about the show and I found one that was going to talk about why Amos is such a popular character but the dude in the video compared Amos to Chewbacca, which wouldn't be an issue, except he called Chewbacca a dumb animal. And I turned it off because neither are dumb animals
