My bff has given me such comfort these last few days (and most days, really) in sharing sharing my grief.
This morning, she used a phrase about my life on the March that she feels fits our experience of ita.
Sine qua non: without which, there is nothing.
It seems appropriate because it is so true!
How fitting that in my little notebook where I write words and phrases that I enjoy, I have sine qua non, because for some reason ita felt the need to find the plural and shared with us (sine quibus non).
As long as I am surfing the Internet and eating cookies, I have no right to complain.
Words we could all live by, really.
Callaluna, please be safe, and keep us posted. Honestly,
Belgium
is not a place that comes to my mind when I think of "scary places to be". If Belgium is scary, the whole world is unsafe.

Add the TV turned on to something mindless like House Hunters and this is my idea of a Very Good Time.
IT WAS A FRIEND OF A FRIEND
This will NEVER make me not laugh. Seriously. I can't explain why it's so funny to me (maybe the level of adamancy in the denials).
Oh, Calla, that's awful.

Its been working for me for several years now!
Honestly, Belgium is not a place that comes to my mind when I think of "scary places to be".
Exactly! I had a lot of reservations about coming here (rightly so, as it turns out), but safety was never on my list of concerns.
Right there with you Kat. Never Not Funny.

So glad you're okay and well away from the scary parts (and that, from what the BBC is saying, the whole thing broke open and the authorities were able to step in *before* any of the cells had a chance to carry out any of their plans).
