I just came across this in the BRQG.
Nutty: You know, I just sort of realized: I view Buffistas as a (very large) family of siblings, or a giant polyamorous marriage, rather than as some kind of town. We're not here because we live next door to each other, or we all care about the water rights or the septic system or the city services we're all sharing. We're here because we care about each other, because we carry meaning, collectively, for each other, and we could all be crammed into a van down by the river and still call it (a really cramped) home.
ita in the first Natter on WX
"Did someone mention Buffistas rocking?
Well, they should."

The juxtaposition of these two quotes is cracking me up. It may be time for bed. (like, if the van is rocking... right. I should sleep)
I know. There are so many people whom I've missed. I've thought, "I miss John H" many times.
Me too. When I contacted Lizard I specifically asked that she talk to John H.
So many people dear to my heart. All here again. I have missed you.
I'm updating the BRQG for the first time since... apparently 2011. If I don't add something to my Google Calendar or Evernote (and fuck, ita's the one who sold me on Evernote), it doesn't get done. I guess I need to schedule fannish maintenance back into my life.
I moved the Buff Dive! button to the top so you don't have to move your mouse to reload it over and over again. Happier wrists.
Just about every other quote in COMM is ita. It's making me weepy again.
That's incredibly touching, thanks for saying that.
I made it to the Seattle, Atlanta, and Providence F2Fs. I wish I had gone to more. I wish I'd met ita in person. Although I'd probably have been too shy to talk to her.
DC, Nillyfest, SF2F, Atlanta, and Seattle. I still didn't get to meet nearly everybody I wanted to. And not ita.

That's something I've always kinda wanted. Which felt so, so lazy. But sometimes you just want quote after quote after quote.
