We're still working on a plan, but so far it involves being sent to prison and becoming somebody's bitch.

ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

smonster, S = the husband. I no longer remember how I refer to him not-by-name in different spaces.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think he's been S here since the fencing meet cute.

Off the top of my head, I would say if you rule out b.org admin mailing list stuff during the three or five times of High Drama 'round here, 95% of the email I sent to ita involved me submitting pictures of hot people to her.

I feel like I have some unsent hotness. I should probably Tumbl that.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

I’ve been trying to figure out why ita’s death has had such a profound effect on me. I never met her. I rarely interacted with her on the boards. But here it is three days later, and I can’t stop thinking about her. Hell, she’s even shown up in my dreams. I have no memory of what those dreams were about, but I just know she was in them.

The words I see used most often about ita are fierce, warrior and passionate in her beliefs. Truth be told, I’ve always been seriously intimidated by ita. She managed to convey those characteristics in her posts, and I feared getting on her wrong side.

But she was the person on these boards that I always wanted to impress the most, even though I rarely post. (I’m a serial lurker with occasional posts in the tv threads). I wanted to recommend a show to her that she would love as much as Supernatural (I’m so sad she never watched Banshee, because the women on that show kick some serious ass! And I just know if she gave Parks and Rec enough of a chance, she would love it as much as Community.) I wanted to make a comment on Supernatural that she would completely agree with.

And now I’ll never get that chance.

Anyway, back to my main thought. Why has this had such a profound effect on me? In my head, she’s this mythical being. So smart. So beautiful. So fearless. So fierce. A warrior. Passionate in her beliefs. And then it hit me. ita was everything I want to be (well, except maybe not glittering up before Krav because I hate glitter!)

I regret that I didn’t make the effort to get to know her on a personal level. But now that she’s gone, maybe I can start making changes.

I miss her.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just came across this in the BRQG.

Nutty: You know, I just sort of realized: I view Buffistas as a (very large) family of siblings, or a giant polyamorous marriage, rather than as some kind of town. We're not here because we live next door to each other, or we all care about the water rights or the septic system or the city services we're all sharing. We're here because we care about each other, because we carry meaning, collectively, for each other, and we could all be crammed into a van down by the river and still call it (a really cramped) home.
