Still kills me that I missed that F2F. I love that city so dearly, and I wanted so badly to be in it with Buffistas (to be fair, I honeymooned there with a Buffista AIWFG, but I am greedy and want more).

Well, it started out as just some people hanging out in our room, but then we noticed them across the street...

I'm with amyth, calli, Hayden, and S. (Who technically has a login here but I don't think ever used it.) We're having a remote wake of sorts, drinking and telling stories and speaking in old-friend in-jokes and TV references, which seems just about right.

I know we've all been saying this, but it is such emotional whiplash to see all these familiar names posting again. I mean, Christ, John H is here! I stayed with you in Sydney in 2003 and then we lost touch when you left the board soon after, but I've thought of you many times since then, and I'll always be grateful to you for hosting me and being so kind to me.

And then I remember why everyone is coming back and I just want to scream.

I remember having made plans for NOLA. I can't for the life of me remember what happened so I couldn't go. Dangit.

I only ever made it to Seattle and Providence. Something else was always coming up with the other ones. One time it was money, TCG and I just found an apartment to share and couldn't swing the cost of moving and a F2F, and the other times it was either also money or social anxiety. I think I joined the board either right before or right after the LA F2F but I think it was after.

I have spent more time on FB in the last two days than I have in the last four *years*. I will probably check in more there, but it is not a comfy place for me, nor will I be greatly expanding my friends there. I'm happy here. Here is good. But the pictures are there, so.
