So beautiful.
ita's thread
A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.
It is beautiful and wonderful, which probably makes me a bad person for being wistful that she's not more obviously black.
This was sort of my thought as well. I do like the pink gingham touches. But was kind of disappointed she looks more like a white girl with a tan? But I'm sure he wasn't going for "Looks exactly like her" and that wasn't the point?

Count me in on the "made me cry in a good way" front.
Wow okay, made me teary. I wonder when I'll get past all the complicated feelings
Add me to the "crying in a good way" list.
So, re: looking more black... darker skin? Or is there more to it? Does anyone have a good full face shot that would give a better idea of what to aim for?
I don't know how much you want Moon to look exactly like ita, but it's the nose and eyes that are looking more elfin, less ita, to me. Her eyes were soft and warm. And she had freckles.
Damn, she really was so beautiful
Not darker skin but what Burrell said—facial features? But like I said—also not sure how much he is intending "inspired by" vs "a whole lot like"
Yes, the facial features--softer and less fine-boned, I think. The grey eyes would look fabulous against a darker skin shade, too, but that's less important than softening the features, to me. And freckles would be an extra bonus.
