When I added my currently reading book today to Goodreads I was advised that Ginger has it on her to read list. You get hit when you aren't expecting it sometimes.
ita's thread
A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.
There are so many "On This Day" Facebook posts that Ginger commented on. But I'm actually really grateful for them. I love reading her comments all over again. (Everyone else's comments, too, FTR.)
Goddamn Facebook reminded me that Ginger went into hospice 2 years ago.
Me too Teppy.
Linked In keeps inviting me to connect with her.
Occasionally I read a page in COMM. I'm way behind in 2010, but I really enjoy seeing ita and Ginger quoted over and over. Those two had a way with their words, all right.
I don't know if you all saw it, but one of Omnis's colleagues at UCI wrote on Omnis's FB: "The Sound Shop at UCI has been renamed in BC's honor. Thanks to everyone who helped shepherd this bit of bureaucracy through the system!"
I can't post an image here but they've hung two lovely plaques - one which reads "The Keller" and then a second one, below it, that calls him a "Sound Supervisor Extraordinaire."
So sweet and sad to see this post.
"Sound Supervisor Extraordinaire."
Below that is says "You made our ears sing"
There is also a plaque in the main theater on campus commemorating him.
Yeah I almost included the phrase too, it's so nice. He was such a good man.
Thank you for sharing this here. It is a wonderful gesture.
