I just got home, and while I have gone through the Facebook comments and tried to answer questions, anything more than that is going to wait until tomorrow. Burrell and I did hit up Fedex on the way to the airport, so I should have the box of stuff by Wednesday.
ita's thread
A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.
Glad you got home safe and sound, Lee.
Thank you so much for putting me up for the night on Saturday. It was great getting to hang out with you again.
Yes, me too. Need to hang more.
That was kind of the take home message: need to see people more
The obit is marvelous, for a 'make me cry at work' value of marvelous. Very well written.
JZ- yea
Pix- I think that would be lovely (and might even be able to bank up a couple days worth of vacation time given a few months.)
Allyson- your hair is the shiniest.
Lee and Burrell and LAistas doing all the things- your eyes are like shiny stars
JZ, yea
My grieving loves, be gentle with yourselves. May your sleep be healing and sweet.
Polgara did everything for the brunch. Hec provided the music, Kristen did flower arrangements, and Polgara made these awesome photo cubes that the family took home to use at the service in Jamaica.
I sat on my lazy ass and did nothing.
Polgara made a photo slide show of pictures of ita to play on the laptop next to the guest book. ita's father stood in front of it for a very long time, watching pictures of his daughter slip by on the screen.
I got to snuggle with bon bon's baby boy for awhile, and that was the best therapy I could have had. He's such a cheery little fellow.
Bon baby snuggling is good for your soul.
Could someone re-link to ita's art page? There was a portrait of Ichabod she did that I loved and have been wanting to see again. Thanks a lot.
Here, Epic?
