I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think you'd be ok jumping in now. There's some dialog explaining the current situation, probably enough.

Excellent, thanks.

Because books.

I will admit up front that my loathing for the Buckner/Ross-Leming writing team is pretty much hotter than a thousand suns from hell, but that episode seemed egregiously bad to me.

Possibly I was in a bad mood. But ghosts doing bureaucracy was just stupid. And I know they wanted to keep the Jack actor, but I'm over that storyline already. AND I hated the Rowena/Ketch nonsense, but it seems like that writing team always needs to get some kind of romance/sex into every episode they write.

I don't even know what to think about Chuck and Amara (except I kind of like Amara now), and I didn't understand in the first episode that Sam's wound and Chuck's were, like, reverberating or whatever. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE SAM GOD, FOR REAL.

Basically, bah humbug. And I really hope it gets better from here.

I kinda forgot there was an episode this past week until I saw your post, Amy. So I'm not going in with the best expectations. But I'm already annoyed (about 15 minutes in) that they don't have a good cover story for people who go back into town and disappear. Why don't they just say they broke quarantine (or whatever they are calling it) and the benzene got 'em?

Kevin! I can forgive a lot for Kevin

But he had not much to do. Sadface. Is his mom still alive? I can't remember

That was sadly lacking in competency porn all around. I do enjoy Amara. I do not enjoy Ketch and Rowena and even less if they are KetchandRowena.

One town full of ghosts, even all the ghosts in hell or whatever, seems pretty low stakes for going head to head with God. And we have seen the "our lives are predetermined" crisis before.

And, come on, last week Sam runs out of ammo and this week Dean does? Do better, writers.

I did suspect they might be connected when Dean said "he got shot and you got shot" but OH NO DO NOT MAKE SAM GOD

Compassionately intolerant

Hey folks, heeeyyy. Longtime member, first- time-in-yonks poster. (My little, embarrassed to be away so long, joke there.)

I had not even conceived of the idea that Sam could be made God, but now that you mention it, that seems nearly inevitable.

A full-on Good Omens buddy future:

Dean is the head Reaper and Sam is God. They fight crime! (existential and otherwise)

Lazy, and yet so, very likely.

Because books.

Hey there! Nice to see your pixels.

I could almost get behind Dean as Reaper and Sam as God, to be honest. In a very slightly tongue in cheek fanfic way.

Now I'm intensely curious why we haven't heard from Billie at all since Dean failed to take her advice. Her way was suppsoed to be the only road to success, right?
