I did like that the big finale came down to convincing Amara and God to reconcile, rather than being a matter of some gimmicky eleventh hour strategy.
Not crazy about the talk of "reaping" God, or for that matter killing Amara. I think both existence and nothingness are concepts too big to be subject to death. The struggle should have been couched in terms of who gets final say on the existence or nature of the universe, not on doing away with one another.
Introduced eldest son to SPN, this summer. He's hooked. We're currently at 6.4 or 6.5, within just a couple of weeks.
He doesn't know Sammy is currently soulless. So much fun (but so hard) to keep Show's secrets.
(I'll just wait here, then...)
I kind of love soulless Sam.
For one, he makes "Clap Your Hands if You Believe" hilarious.
Soulless Sam and the prostitute is a particular favorite of mine. I wrote a fic from her POV after that episode.
I hated that episode (as a watcher, Amy) because what man who looks like Sam Winchester needs a hooker? That said, I can see where that was a juicy ep for a writer to explore.
A man who wants a professional, and no emotional entanglements! Soulless!Sam!
Yeah, even for a good-looking guy, asking "how much" is easier than spending some amount of time chatting a woman up in a bar or wherever. What strained my suspension of disbelief was the hooker leaving her number with an offer to meet up in her free time; soulless Sam may have been hot and technically proficient, but he was hardly charming. If she just wanted to be treated like a piece of meat by an attractive guy I'm sure had some johns who'd do that and still be fine with paying for it.
Probably not by johns who looked like Sam, though. Nom.
