Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

Supernatural 3: Family don't end with blood

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Hey last week's episode was way better than the season premiere!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I liked Sam's story. I was interested in Baby with the Mark, but I don't like the rapid aging thing.

I generally wish SPN would stop trying to do nameless evils from before the dawn of time. They really aren't good at it. Although I did enjoy the Darkness (or whoever she is) telling Dean she didn't know this "Death' person. That could be interesting but I doubt it will go anywhere.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Some thoughts about Billie:

Julian Richings was a perfect incarnation of classical Death, with his cadaverous appearance and his chilling manner. His impish streak was delicious, the sly hint of humor, and his weakness for food which he let Dean exploit. I loved him as Death.

I do hope Billie is, in fact, Death reincarnate. She's more a Gaiman view of Death--singing her own song, all sleek, strong womanhood, her power exuding in her untamed hair and current, body conscious but non-revealing clothing. No less intimidating than Riching's archetypal male, but inimical in her seductive appearance and voice.

I like her! Better than "Darkness," either in womanly or girl-child form.

I spent a lot of the episode muttering at Billie, "please be a main character, please be a main character, please be a main character..."

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I don't get how the Darkness can be unaware of Death yet know, well, anything else about how reality works. Either it's been cut off from the universe with no information since Creation, or it's somehow been able to glean info from the bearers of the Mark of Caine over the years, none of whom have been strangers to killing.

Yeah that is a huge plothole.

Because books.

This episode made me so happy. And so sad, too, because ita would have loved it.

This is a good list of the reasons why: [link]

Aw, that's reblogged, but I couldn't improve on it. Except for my very very favorite thing: Despite her damage, Baby cranked when it counted. Twice. Atta girl.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I finally watched and am smiling. From Baby being bathed to turning over despite being battered and bruised - love, love, love. And the brother-ly-ness of it all.

Just discovered that DenCon - Salute to Supernatural with Jensen, Jared, Misha, and Mark - will be in Denver this weekend. I couldn't afford the tickets even if I'd know ahead of time, but now I feel like I'm missing out. Instead, I have plans to go to a big craft fair. Ahhh, well.
