A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Living in KS, I have sen at least 3 vintage black Impala with KS plates, and every damned time, screamed "WINCHESTERS!"

I'm a dork. Luckily my husband also watches SPN.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Padalecki has been little seen since he bowed out of two European cons in May. He turned up at the Gilmore Girls reunion today, though. The group interview will run later this week on the Today show, for anyone who's interested.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Did anyone watch any of the sdcc spn stuff? I only watched the nerd hq panel live and that had very little to do with the show.

I've seen some stuff online though about the hall panel. They got s question about treatment of women and the response was awesome. The cast pushed back from the table or turned around to let production deal with it. The answer got booed and the cast offered zero support.

Then just saw a tiny bit of an interview with Jensen and he said they were getting back to the way of the early seasons and he was pretty openly exasperated with the last few seasons.

I haven't watched the sdcc stuff yet but want to. Very curious to see the treatment of women part. Interesting and go cast.

I did see clips of the Always Keep Fighting candles and Jared's reaction. For as crazy as some SPN fans can be, it is so nice to see fandom do good.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Hmmm, interesting: both Jensen's blatantly unhappy reaction to the "-ish" addendum, to the casts demonstration of their "reaction" to women/Charlie's death(s).

JA tried to moderate afterward by stating that we got Charlie longer than we originally would have, with the implication to be happy with the extra screen time. And as I stared at the all-male cast/staff presence on the stage, I remembered that Misha/Castiel was supposed to be a one-off (or at least a short-run) and the fuckers can't bring themselves to kill him off years later, despite many wonderful ways the STORY could have spelled his demise in dramatic and story-driven and natural fashion, turning a beloved character into a shade instead.

I can be yo hope that the fact that JA's facade cracked at a con will lead to story revolution or threats of quitting that will either end the show or improve the writing and story direction.

Because books.

This would be great, and yet I hate that ita won't see it. She was Papa's staunchest supporter: [link]

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I did not expect that to happen. I thought the crew on that show loathed JDM.

Because books.

Where did you hear that?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Kripke got narked because JDM wasn't available when SPN needed him--they rescheduled AHBL2 twice, and due to Uma Thurman breaking her arm and delaying The Accidental Husband filming, JDM had to cancel both times. So they wound up filming JDM on set wherever he was at the time, and since Jared had a conflict, they filmed Jensen reacting to JDM, and then later CGI'd in Jared's reaction to Dad and Dean in the graveyard.

I think Kripke was frustrated at the drawn-out song and dance, during an episode that had a giant pain to film graveyard scene--they set up outside, but monsoons descended and delayed location filming for days, and when they tried to film once the rain stopped, all the "graves" were soup. So they had to regroup and film indoors, and JDM's scheduling was just an added irritant.

Then S3 and on, Kripke wrote out his own daddy issues onto John, and JDM took issue with the slant the interpretation of John took. There was no love lost between them. Kripke didn't ask, because JDM was a fan favorite, and he didn't want fans to like John. JDM was busy, and didn't need the job, and he didn't want to play John as an SOB.

And then the storyline moved on, and there really wasn't any place left to shoehorn John into late canon. But as Kripke's gone now, and the writers are apparently recycling storylines from early season, they may be rethinking John.
