I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

I swear salted caramel was a trend about two years ago.

I really know nothing about gluten free baking. I should learn, because I do know a couple of people with gluten issues. And it would be interesting to learn.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I started seeing salted caramel everywhere at least five years ago. A bit more than that, I think. Sometime while I was living in DC.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm in Cincinnati, which, as Mark Twain apocryphally noted, gets everything 10 years later.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Salt caramel is a trend that can stay around FOREVER as far as I'm concerned because it is the most delicious combination in the universe. Ditto dark chocolate and pistachios.

I'm all for dark chocolate being trendy again, it will make getting dark chocolate peanut M&Ms easier.

Oh, turmeric is another one. Turmeric is up and coming.

Finally got off my ass and booked TG and Xmas flights. I was having a huge case of not dealing. But booking TG pushed my SW rewards to the point that Xmas cost just $36.20. I mean, mom is paying as a gift, but still is nice.

Also, what I needed to do. I'd been wanting to hole up like a hermit until Jan 1, but I'm now looking forward to the holidays.

They came around today to ask who wanted off for Thanksgiving--we're open for the Canadians--and I'd already decided that this year I'm going to work. The supervisor was very baffled as I kept saying "Yes, I do want to work on Thanksgiving." Then the look of dismay as he remembered why I might not want to partake of a family holiday at this particular time. I tried to tell him it was OK, but he just kept stuttering. Poor inexperienced puppies.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Tumeric is an up-and-comer because it supposedly can reduce incidence of cancer. Supposedly. I think it tastes like dirt, but what do I know?

I like the taste of turmeric, but not in a way that I would expect anyone else to like it. I mean, I like beets and cabbage.

Oh, blue cheese was on the list. I don't know how that can't already have trended.
