Oh yuck, Beverly. Bites on the digits seem extra itchy to me. I use spray Lanacane type stuff, but have also iced the itches with success.

According to this guy, the French just eat the hearts and that is correct.
Ha! I'll take all the yummy petals for myself then. This reminds me of an old boyfriend's family that didn't eat the skins for baked potatoes. I shamelessly ate all of their discarded potato skins. Silly people.
Unrelatedly - I thought I was feeling well enough to go to the store and get some Drano, but now that I have gotten dressed I don't think I am quite up to that. Maybe the tub will drain by tomorrow morning anyway.

Hmph. More leaves for me, then!
To be fair, I think I would have been more annoyed if I was watching the webcast from the office (the talk was at our other location) and not getting any of the food than I was watching from my couch.
To continue a thought from several posts ago that there's no reason for anyone but me to consider.
Carry on, nothing to see here.
Ugh. The circuit court in Cincinnati upheld the gay marriage ban in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Tennessee: [link] My state is officially your gross bigoted uncle no one wants to sit next to at Thanksgiving dinner.
OTOH, this is almost certainly going to force the SCOTUS to issue a decisive ruling, and I can't imagine they'll rule in favor of the ban.
Man. This fucking week.
I need to put something down my kitchen sink, it's horrible.
Florida has a hold on the marriage equality issue until January 5th now. Gay marriage was struck down, but still enforced pending appeal. Then they tried to have it lifted after the other rulings, but still on hold.
I never feel good about things being settled at the SCOTUS. They scare me.
Ugh is right, Steph. I really hate the idea that someone's civil rights is a matter for a popular vote.
